• What: Precise GPS location from your device

• When: Only when the App is active and you use location-based features

• Why: To show your position on the map relative to buses

• Storage: Processed locally on your device; NOT transmitted to or stored on our servers

• Control: You can disable location permissions in your device settings at any time

B. No Other Personal Data Collected:
We do NOT collect, store, or process:

• Personal identification information (name, email, etc.)

• Device identifiers

• Usage analytics or tracking data

• Contact lists or photos

• Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)

3. Third-Party Services

A. Google Maps:

• Provides mapping and satellite imagery

• Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)

• May collect data according to their policies when you use map features

B. Apple In-App Purchases:

• Processes all tip payments

• Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/)

• We do not receive any personal payment information

C. Data Processing:

• BC Transit provides open transit data

• Server-side protocol parsing occurs on railway.app infrastructure

• No personal data is processed on servers

4. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no risk of data breach from our systems. Location data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

Under Canadian Privacy Laws:
