Practice using transceivers, work on shoveling technique and learn about the tools required for companion rescue to refresh your skills. This will be a volunteer-led opportunity to practice different scenarios and as it will be dark it will add an element of difficulty. Meet at the Inukshuk at Centennial Park.
There will also be some free survival tool goodies from BC AdventureSmart up for grabs
Required gear: Headlamp and appropriate clothing for spending 2 hours outdoors. Bring your own transceiver, shovel and probe if they have it. Otherwise practice equipment will be available.
