MOUNTAIN ACADEMY – 8am – 2:30pm
A one-day choose your own adventure event to celebrate queer community in Revelstoke!
The program is open to 2SLGBTQ+ folks and allies from age 15 years+. Priority will be given to folks with intersectional identities.
All sports will be offered at introductory level, with a possibility for intermediate groups based on participant abilities. Guiding and instruction will be provided by certified ACMG guides and instructors.
Activities detailed below. No previous experience in the activity is required.
Every activity will be “challenge by choice”, accessible to most bodies and paced by the participant’s needs. Equipment can be provided from the Open Mountains gear locker and local partners if requested.
Cost per activity will be $40 per person, gear (at no charge) and financial subsidizes are available for participants who require support.
