This i s an all ages\, family friendly walk-a-thon\, including your four-legged c anine family member (no felines please). RDHS is a 100% not-for-profit vol unteer run organization. Without the board members and volunteers alongsid e community support and generous donations\, we would not be able to suppo rt our furry friends in need. This event is a great chance to get outdoors \, meet our board members and volunteers\, get some exercise and have some fun.\n \nHow to Register to Participate in the event:\nClick "Register" o n the homepage of this site\nSelect your "Registration" based on your age category\nChildren (<\;5yrs.) = Free\nChildren (6 - 12yrs) = $5 \nYouth (13 - 17 yrs.) = $10 \nAdults (18+) = $15\nOne entry per person.\nNote: All registration fees are subject to a small platflorm fee. \nRegistration includes:\n1 entry day of to walk-a-thon + 1 pet entry. All registrants w ill be given a goody bag and entered in the door prize raffle. You must be registered in order to recieve goody bag.\nLight snacks and refreshments will be provided during the event. \nParticipants are encouraged to get pl edges to raise additional funds. \nFor every $50 earned in pledges your na me will be entered in for the grand prize. Walkers are invited to join any time\, but event will end at 2pm.\n \nArr ival &\; Waivers:\nAll walkers must sign-in at the check-in booth prior to the walk. Check-in will consist of each participant signing a waiver a nd recieving their goody-bag. Registration begins at 9am at the parking lo t adjacent to the ball fields in Centennial Park. The opening ceremony wil l begin at 11am\, with the walk beginning immediately aftwards. Late arriv als are welcome\, however the event will end at 2pm. There will be no offi cal closing ceremony and participants are welcome to end their walk whenev er they please. Late arrivals are welcome\, however check-in will end prom ptly at 1:15pm.\n \nWe will be accepting walk-ins the day off pending avai lability of space and supplies. If you would like to guarantee your spot\, it is advised to sign up ahead of time.\n \nRoute:\nIn-person walk will b egin at Centennial Park near the ball fields. The walk is mostly flat-gent le terrain along the Greenbelt\, down to the Fourth Street bridge and back . There will be a staging area at Kovach park offering refreshments and li ght snacks. Participants are welcome to complete the course little or as m uch as they would like. \n \nParking:\nFree parking is available at the wa terfront of Centennial Park and the Revelstoke Community Centre\, however parking is limited\, and participants are encouraged to walk to the event\ , if possible.\n \nLitter Control:\nWe at RDHS are aware that events like this can cause excess waste. We encourage participants to:\nBring a reusab le cup for refreshments. \nPick-up all dog waste.\nDon'\;t litter!\nSa fety:\nWe at RDHS are committed to safety.
